Dunollie House and Castle overlook the Bay in Oban. The castle itself is the ancestral home of Clan MacDougall. Various rooms in the house have been preserved and in conjunction with the new exhibition space you can learn about the history of the family and the clan through its collections and archives.
Working freelance for Dunollie, I produced graphic designs for two exhibition panels that are now located in the landscape forming part of the visitor experience for the Castle.
We are also in the process of designing a children's activity-based guide book using the characters of Ben, Snowball and Bogs, inspired by the white cat, spaniel and red setter owned by the MacDougalls.
I was commissioned to rework the original black and white Dunollie logo, create a Gaelic logo and develop a tartan logo to be used specifically for merchandise made from Heritage MacDougall Tartan. The tartan is a redesign of the original 200 year old MacDougall Tartan.
